At Classes with Cat, we aim to provide a clear, fair, and transparent booking system for all our students and parents. This policy sets out the terms governing termly payments, lesson cancellations, and refund eligibility for services booked on classeswithcat.com.

1. Termly Payment Structure

  • Billing Cycle: All lessons are booked and billed on a termly basis, aligning with standard UK school terms (typically structured in 6 to 7-week blocks).

  • Payment Due Date: Payment for each upcoming term block must be settled in full prior to the start of that term to secure the student's place.

  • Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely via our online platform using supported third-party payment gateways (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, or direct bank transfer).

2. Non-Refundable Lessons Policy

  • General Rule: All booked lessons and term fees are non-refundable once committed.

  • Missed Lessons & Absences: We do not offer refunds, discounts, pro-rated reductions, or credit notes for individual missed classes, late arrivals, holidays, or pupil absences during the term block.

  • Tutor Absences: If a lesson is cancelled by Classes with Cat (for instance, due to tutor illness or technical failure on our end), we will offer a rearranged make-up session or issue a pro-rata refund/credit for that specific session.

3. 7-Day Conditional Refund Exception

We understand that unexpected circumstances occur. A refund for a term booking may be granted only under the following strict conditions:

  • Timeframe: The cancellation request must be submitted in writing within 7 calendar days of the initial booking date.

  • Valid Reason: The request must be accompanied by a valid, documented reason (e.g. severe illness, unforeseen medical circumstances, or a family emergency).

  • Exclusions: Refund requests made after 7 calendar days from the initial booking date will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.

4. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To submit a request under our 7-day conditional refund policy:

  2. Include your full name, student name, order/booking reference number, and the specific reason for your cancellation request (along with any relevant supporting documentation).

  3. We will review your request within 3 to 5 working days. If approved, the refund will be credited back to your original payment method.
